Power of Plants: The products we use at Stillwater

Being born and raised in British Columbia, and spending the last decade living in Tofino has deeply shaped my philosophy around wellness and health.

Recently I completed Seraphina Caprano's herbal medicine program and Rose and Root course on Salt Spring Island, where she taught us about the medicinal and energetic qualities of plants. Subtle yet profound, gentle but powerful.

What I already knew intuitively, but didn't quite have the words for is that the power of plants runs deep. Nature often provides exactly what a culture needs in what grows abundantly around them.

Here in Tofino, three beautiful wildflowers arrive each summer: Nootka rose, fireweed, and yarrow. These three plants became the stars of our Anointed Facial Oil.

Handcrafted by our dear soul sister at Tofino Soap Company, we're fortunate to collaborate with a strong woman who understands plants not just as ingredients, but as allies. Together we've created something that feels deeply rooted in this place. She also has a background of over ten years as an aesthetician (we met at a luxury spa!)

Our Anointed Facial Oil features these coastal botanicals, each blooming in succession throughout the summer season. Nootka rose, fireweed, and yarrow are resilient plants, shaped by wind, salt air, and the ruggedness of the West Coast. We've paired them with jojoba, squalane, sandalwood, and frankincense to create an oil that feels both nourishing and restorative.

Whenever possible she sources locally, work in small batches, and formulate with intention.

Everything we use at Stillwater is free from synthetic fragrances; In the oils, in the tent, throughout the entire experience.

Stillwater was created for people who crave a deeper connection with nature. People who care what they put on their skin and who understand that sometimes the most profound healing comes from simply slowing down.

I think you'll feel it the moment you step onto the path.

The tent is open.
